I finally got around to taking pictures of our house! Sam found a serious gem. Everyone who comes to our house wishes they could switch with us. It is so cute, open and really unique. Plus we get to live above a beer garden. What more could you want?
The house has three really big bedrooms. We lucked out because each room has a king bed, night stands, mirrors, dressers and armoires. There aren't closets in German homes, so these items are perfect. The beds are even really comfortable.
Our Kitchen-- I love the view out the window. amazing.
When you walk in the front door and turn right, this is what you see.
If you walked straight after you came in through the front door you would be in this open living area. Here's a view of the dining room from the family room. None of the furniture in these pics are ours. But we are grateful to have it.
Here is the family room. We have our air mattress set up for movies, and two lovely loner chairs from the army because, yes, we are still waiting on our stuff.
Our soon to be bedroom. They had a king bed in this room but we had them move it out because we are going to use our own.

Extra room-- we sleep in here for now.
A kind of bonus area. It is pretty big. I think we will put a desk and our futon in here. We are still struggling with where to put our extra queen bed too.
The one and only bathroom. I actually love having one bathroom. Easier to clean. The only time I hate it is when I am about to pee my pants and sam is already in there going!!
EVERY single room has rouladens. Rouladens are amazing shutters/blinds that are on the outside of the house. They close down and make the room completely dark. It's like there was never a window in the room. Each window opens completely up like a door or just tilts open and allows a little bit of air in. Because German homes don't have A/C we keep the windows open so the air is circulated. It makes the house very dirty, very fast.
Each door has a gold key instead of lock, same with each piece of furniture. I just know were going to lose lots of keys in the next few years.
